Host Odisha’s campaign in the ongoing OTA-ITF Futures-1 Men’s Pro Circuit Tournament ended when Chinmay Pradhan and Ansu Kumar Bhuyan, the top two players of the state, lost respective first-round singles matches here at Kalinga Stadium Tennis Complex today.

Getting entries through wild cards, Pradhan and Bhuyan lost to fellow Indians R Suraj Prabodh 2-6, 2-6 and Vasisht Cheruku 1-6, 2-6 respectively. Meanwhile, top seeded Sasi Kumar Mukund, currently ranked 439 in the world, was stretched to the limits as he managed to surpass unseeded Jayaprakash Mohit Mayur6-7(3), 6-3, 6-4.
