Qualifier Dhruv Sunish makes a remarkable comeback from a set down to stun top seeded Sasi Kumar Mukund and enter the quarter finals of the  ongoing  OTA-ITF Futures-1 Men’s Pro Circuit Tennis Tournament here at the Kalinga Stadium Tennis Complex today.

After dropping the opening set against the experienced Mukund by 3-6, Dhruv Sunish displayed utmost patience and determination to hang on in every single point and forced the top seed to make the crucial errors, as he pocketed the second set by a close 7-5 to level the match.

In the decider,  Mukund, ranked at 439 in the world was stretched to the wires as the qualifier stole the show with a 7-5 win in the nail-biting tie breaker. Sunish won by 3-6,7-5,7-6(5) in a long 2 hrs and 31 minutes. Sunish will meet Patrik Rikl in the quarter final tomorrow.

Second seeded Siddharth Rawat, ranked at 521 in the world currently, took little time to outclass qualifier and inexperienced Vasisht Cheruku by a straight 6-2, 6-3 in 1 hr and 25 minutes.
