According to a release from Srimati Nandini Satpathy Memorial Trust (SNSMT), the Ministry also renamed the project as Pachayat Mahila evam Yuva Shakti Abhiyan (PMYSA). Satpathy today called on Union Minister of State for Sports and Youth Affairs, M S Gill and held discussions regarding the search of sports talent from the panchayat levels of Orissa. SNSMT chairman Satpathy appraised the Minister regarding the lack of facilities to identify and groom these talents. He also informed the Minster that sportspersons from the state had not received due recognition despite bringing laurels for the country.

Gill said that he was aware of the hidden sports talents in rural belts of Orissa and a search of these talents was already in his priority list. The Minister assured that there would be no neglect towards Orissa as far as support for the development of youth went. Gill said that the Government had earmarked a budget Rs 15,000 crore for the development of rural sports in India. The Minister assured that very soon he would connect with the Orissa Ministery of Sports and Youth Services along with PMYSA-Orissa to facilitate a good design for developing sports in rural Orissa.
