Odisha girl Sohini Mohanty made Karnal her happy hunting ground by following her triple crown with a double in the Chamunda-AITA Championship Series Tennis Tournament at Chamunda Tennis Academy in this Haryana city today.

Bhubaneswar girl Sohini bagged the double by winning both the singles and doubles titles in under-12 events. She won the singles final, defeating Divya Ungrish of Delhi 6-3, 6-3. In the doubles final, Sohini and her partner Divya Ungrish beat Delhi-Uttar Pradesh combination of Gourangi Kapoor and R Sarvangya Kilaru 6-3, 6-2.

A pupil of Farhan Ali Tennis Academy, Sohini had claimed the treble at the same venue earlier last week by winning both the U-12, U-14 singles and U-14 doubles titles in another Championship Series Tournament.

With today’s double crown, Loyola School student increased the number of her total AITA titles of the year to 11, which include six singles and five doubles.
