Good news for cricket clubs of Odisha. Honouring the the directions issued by the Supreme Court Appointed Committee of Administrators of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), Odisha Cricket Association (OCA) has sought applications from cricketing clubs (not social clubs) of the state, registered before five years, to apply for membership.

This was announced by Chairman of OCA Working Committee today. Such clubs have been advised to submit their applications latest by 25 August 2019.

NOTICE:

It is to inform to all the cricketing clubs of Odisha, registered before five years, that as per the directions issued by the Supreme Court Appointed Committee of Administrators, BCCI, dated 13.08.2019, to implement the recommendations of the Hon’ble Justice Lodha Committee, accepted by the Hon’ble Supreme Court, vide its judgment dated July 18, 2016 and August 9, 2018 and for the furtherance of the Cricket Reforms Process, it is necessary that State Associations should enlarge the pool of members such that the State Associations should encourage membership and participation of cricketing clubs within the State, if such club demonstrates good track record and experience in conducting cricketing and cricket development activities.

This will ensure that greater numbers of persons experienced in cricketing activities are associated with the governance of cricket at the State Association level. Hence, cricketing clubs (not social clubs), registered before five years, carrying on cricketing activities within their respective territorial jurisdiction in the State of Odisha, are hereby advised to make application for membership of Odisha Cricket Association latest by 25.08.2019.
