Bhubaneswar will play host to the first National under-13 Girls’ Football Championship at Kalinga Stadium from October 22 under the auspices of Orissa State Women’s Football Association. Eighteen teams are expected to participate. Originally scheduled to be held at Puri, the venue was shifted to the Capital City due to unavoidable reasons. A trial for the selection of the Orissa team will be conducted at Barabati Stadium, Cuttack on September 29 and 30. District athletic associations have been told to send four players each for the trial, which will be followed by a coaching camp from October 5.
