Last years runners-up Odisha bowed out from the semifinals of the 25th Senior Women National Football Championship, losing to Railways 1-3 at CHF Ground in Pasighat, Arunachal Pradesh on 22 Sept, 2019. The Railway team, which is packed with Odisha players, set up the final date with defending champions Manipur, who drubbed Tamil Nadu 5-0 in the other semifinal clash.
Earlier in the quarterfinals, Odisha trounced hosts Arunachal Pradesh 5-0. Led by Senior India team defender Jabamani Tudu, Odisha reached quarterfinals by winning their three Group-E matches against Pondicherry, Chandigarh and Kerala by identical 4-0 margins.

Odisha team was accompanied by Head Coach Md Shahid Jabar and Assistant Coach Gayatree Mallick. A total of 30 teams from across the country, representing various States, Union Territories and establishments participated in the tournament.
Manipur retained the title, defeating Indian Railways 1-0 in the final today. This was the 20th title triumph for Manipur.
