  Senior Women NFC: Odisha storm into quarters

Odisha stormed into the quarterfinals of 25th Senior Women National Football Championship, winning all three of their Group-E matches, which is being played at KIYIT Stadium in Pasighat, Arunachal Pradesh from September 11.

Led by India women team defender Jabamani Tudu, Odisha won all three league matches by 4-0 identical margin, trouncing Pondicherry, Chandigarh and Kerala. Subhadra Sahu was the top scorer for Odisha with a total four goals.

Odisha team is being accompanied by Head Coach Md Shahid Jabar and Assistant Coach Gayatree Mallick. A total of 30 teams from across the country, representing various States, Union Territories and Indian Railways would participate in the tournament, which would conclude on September 24.

Odisha (Jabamani Tudu 13’, 92’, Subhadra Sahu 60’, Jasoda Munda 67’) beat Pondicherry 4-0.
September 14: Odisha (Subhadra Sahu 14’,74’, Runi Nayak 62’,66’) beat Chandigarh 4-0.
September 17: Odisha (Deepa Nayak 26’, 92’, Subhadra Sahu 33’, Jasoda Munda 46’) beat Kerala 4-0.
