Orissa thrashed Kanchipur District XI (Tamil Nadu) 8-1 in their opening match to enter the semifinals of the All-India Women``s Football Tournament at Pondichery today. Captain Pinky Bompal Magar led the scoring for Orissa with three goals. Teammates Thunki Munda and Indira Munda struck a brace each, while Santosini Oram contributed one goal. Orissa will meet Dindigul District Football Association (TN) on Friday.
