10 Jul 2008

India``s latest cricket sensation Pragyan Ojha is set to return to his home town Bhubaneswar tomorrow. Originally, he was scheduled to arrive here from Hyderabad today, but missed the flight as he was held up in the traffic at Hyderabad, his adopted city. "I am in Mumbai now and trying to get a connecting flight to Bhubaneswar as quick as possible", Ojha said over telephone tis evening. The left-arm spinner, who was born and spent major part of his childhood in Bhubaneswar, is expected to land in Bhubaneswar tomorrow morning. The lone new face in the Indian Test squad for the Sri Lanka tour, Ojha is scheduled to be felicitated by his first club, Sahid Sporting and old school, Chandrasekharpur DAV Public tomorrow.

"He had promised to come here for a day when he was selected for the Asia Cup in Bangladesh. But could not keep it due to lack of time. This time we are eagerly waiting to wish him a successful Test career," said Sahid Sporting secretary Pankaj Patnaik. Though Ojha shaped his cricket career at Hyderabad, his family still has its home here in Kharvel Nagar. He said he would spend three days in Orissa before returning to Hyderabad for the Sri Lanka tour.
