  ISL 2020-21: Odisha FC to start campaign on Nov 23

Football Sports Development Limited (FSDL) today announced the first 11 rounds of fixtures for the 2020-21 Hero Indian Super League (ISL). The 7th edition of the premier football league of India will be kicked off with the defending champions ATK Mohun Bagan taking on Kerala Blasters FC on November 20 at the GMC Stadium, Bambolim, Goa.

Odisha FC will start campaign with a match against Hyderabad FC at GMC Stadium Bambolim on November 23. SC East Bengal will be new entrants in this edition. The expanded league will feature a total 115 games, up from 95 last season. All 11 clubs will play each other in a double round-robin format. The top four clubs on the points table at the end of the regular season will qualify for the playoffs.

The first 11 rounds feature 6 double-headers - all Sundays, with Jamshedpur FC and Odisha FC playing in the first 5 PM kick off this season on November 29, at the Tilak Maidan Stadium. The schedule for the remaining 55 league matches will be published in December post clarity on calendar dates of Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Competitions matches.

The 2020-21 edition of ISL will be played behind closed doors in Goa at three venues - Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, Fatorda, GMC Athletic Stadium, Bambolim, and Tilak Maidan Stadium, Vasco. All double-headers will be played on Sundays and start at 5 PM and 7:30 PM respectively.
