  Panthers confirm semifinal berth; Pumas close in

Odisha Panthers confirmed their place in semifinals, registering seventh, while Odisha Pumas inched closer the last-four round with fifth win in the MGM Odisha T20 Cricket League at Barabati Stadium in Cuttack today. Panthers beat Odisha Cheetas by six wickets, while Pumas got the better of Odisha Jaguars by five wickets.

Panthers owed their victory to Ankit Singh who hit an unbeaten 38 off 52 balls to be adjudged the man of the match. In reply to a modest total of 97 for eight by the Cheetas, Panthers romped home in 18.1 overs, losing four wickets in the process.

 

Captain Aravinda Singh led Pumas to a comfortable win with an unconquered knock of 35. Batting first, Jaguars made 113 for eight. Cheetas overhauled the target in 18 overs, losing five wickets. Aravinda Singh claimed the prize as man of the match
