  Pattanaik slams unbeaten 54 in Lions win

An unbeaten 54 by Rakesh Pattanaik powered Odisha Lions to a seven-wicket win over Odisha Jaguars in the 25th match MGM Odisha T20 Cricket League at Barabati Stadium in Cuttack today. This was the fifth win for the Lions and eighth defeat for the Jaguars.

Allrounder Nauttam Bhanja also shone in the Lions win, bagging three wickets for 17 runs and hitting an unbeaten 23. However, Rakesh Pattanaik was adjudged the man of the match.

Meanwhile, Odisha Cheetas registered a narrow four-run win over Odisha Pumas in the second match of the day. Abhishek Raut and Badal Bhol put up impressive performance for the Cheetas, scoring 37 runs and taking three wickets for 20 runs respectively.


Bhol was named the man of the match. This was the four win for the Cheetas and four loss for the Pumas. However, Pumas and Lions stayed on course for semifinal berths with 20 points each from nine games.
