Odisha State Table Tennis Association (OSTTA) today announced an eight-member State squad for the 82nd Senior National Table Tennis Championships, which is scheduled to be held at Multipurpose Hall, Tau Devi Lal Stadium, Sector 3, Panchkula (Haryana) from 15 to 23 February, 2021.

The team will leave for Panchkula by train on February 12, informed OSSTA secretary Rabindra Kumar Parida. The Odisha squad, featuring three men and five women, would be accompanied by coach-cum-manager Nihar Ranjan Mishra.

While announcing the state squad, OSSTA secretary Rabindra Kumar Parida regretted that Odisha would be missing the services two promising players in K Karthik and Mohammad Azhar. “Both Karthik and Azhar are nursing injuries, which they suffered in recent road accidents. Else our men team would have been stronger,” said Parida.
