Earlier in the semifinals, Rising Star beat Sunrise Club 3-2, while Bidanasi Club out scored Jay Durega Club 5-2. Both the semifinals took place at Barabati Stadium on June 30.

Madhu Jani was instrumental in the Rising Star win, scoring two goals in the 63rd and 81st minutes. Flinto F (53rd) and Samir Kerketta (84th) scored one goal each for Sunrise to level the score before Jitu Muduli netted the match-winner for Rising Star in the 86th minute.

Bidanasi Club asserted supremacy in the second semifinal on the strength of a brace each by Rajesh Kumar Nayak (8th, 26th) and Rajesh Nayak (43rd, 44th). The fifth goal for Bidanasi was slammed by Antaryami Naik in the 49th minute. Janma Xess was the star performer for Jay Durga, scoring both the goals for his team in the 63rd and 87th minutes.

Odisha Cricket Association (OCA) vice-president Pankaj Lochan Mohanty was the chief guest for the final match. Football Association of Odisha (FAO) secretary Asirbad Behera, vice-presidents Bijay Das, Dillip Kumar Sahoo and Hrudaya Ranjan Behera; treasurer Bhakta Ballav Das and joint-secretary Md Shahid Jabbar were present on the occasion.
