Indian Senior Women Hockey Team, featuring Odisha defender Deep Grace Ekka and mid-fielder Jyoti Chhatri, came from behind to hold England to 1-1 draw in their opening match of the 100th Anniversary Spanish Hockey Federation - International Tournament in Barcelona, Spain today.
Holly Hunt gave England the lead in the seventh minute, while Lalremsiami equalised for India in the 41st minute. Jyoti Chhatri made her senior international debut in this match. India will next meet hosts Spain tomorrow.
After proving her mettle as a junior international Jyoti Chhatri made it to the Senior India team for the first time. Former inmate of Government Sports Hostel, Panposh (Rourkela), Jyoti was part of the Indian Junior Women Team that won the gold medal for the first time in the Junior Asia Cup last month in Kakamigahara, Japan.

July 26: India (Lalremsiami 41-PC) drew with England (Holly Hunt 7-FG) 1-1.
