A five-wicket haul by left-arm spinner Sayed Tufayl Ahmad powered Odisha to a seven-wicket win over Arunachal Pradesh in their second Group-D match of the Vinoo Mankad Trophy U-19 Mens Cricket Tournament at CAP Ground-4 in Puducherry today.

After bundling out Arunachal for a paltry 43, Odisha chased down the target in nine overs, losing three wickets in the process. Bhubaneswar bowler Tufayl achieved carrer-best success, scalping five wickets for eight runs. He was well supported by Sreeraj Pattanaik and Swoop S Bhuyan, who claimed three and two wickets respectively.

This was the first win for Odisha, who lost to Chhattisgarh by three wickets in their opening match earlier on October 12. Led by stumper-batter Aashirwad Swain, Odisha will next meet Saurashtra on October 16.
