Gujarat crushed Odisha by 50 runs, via VJD Method, in a Group-B match of the BCCI Women U-19 One-Day Trophy at Amingaon Cricket Ground in Guwahati, Assam today. This was the second defeat in four matches for Odisha who earlier suffered a 10-wicket drubbing against Karnataka in their second match on October 10.

Sent to bat, Gujarat made a modest total of 126 for nine in 27 overs and then bundled out Odisha for a paltry 50. Only two batters could reach double digits for Odisha. However, Odisha bowlers did a good job with SB Lorence and Jyoti K Prasad picking up three wickets each.

The opening and third match of the Odisha team against Goa and Mumbai were abandoned due to rain on October 8 and 12 respectively. Led by Suchismita Panda, Odisha will play their fifth and last match against Himachal Pradesh on October 16.
