East Zone cricket team, featuring two players from Odisha, emerged champions in the Senior Women Inter Zonal T20 Trophy by virtue of a higher group-stage finish after the final against West Zone was abandoned without a ball bowled due to rain at Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium, Lucknow on 4 December 2023.

Madhuri Meheta and Sushree Dibyadarshini Pradhan represented Odihsa in the East Zone team. East Zone played four mathes at the league stage and won three, defeating North Zone by five wickets on Dec 2, North East Zone by 10 wickets on November 26 and South Zone by six wickets on November 28. The match between East Zone and Central Zone was abandoned on 30 November.

Madhuri played three mathches at the league stage and scored a total of six runs. She scored zero against South Zone and six against West Zone and did not get to bat against North East Zone.

Sushree played two matches without any notable performance. She bowled one over against Central Zone. Against South Zone, Sushree scored six runs and did not get any wicket. Against North East, Sushree did not bat and picked up two wickets for 17 runs. She did not get chance to play against West Zone. Juri Datta, physio of Odisha Senior Women team, was also the physio of the East Zone team.
