  HCL Cyclothon: Swasti secures 2nd successive silver medal

Odisha cycling international Swasti Singh won the silver medal and a cash prize of Rs 1 lakh in the women elite 55km criterium race of the 2nd HCL Cyclothon, held in Noida, Uttar Pradesh on 17 March 2024. Muskan Gupta (Gujarat) and Khoirom Rejiya Devi (Manipur) claimed the gold and bronze medal respectively.

This is the second successive year that Swasti has bagged the silver medal in this competition. This is also the first medal the Rourkela cyclist won for her new employers, Odisha Mining Corporation (OMC). She earlier worked at Indian Railways. An inmate of Delhi-based SAI National Cycling Academy, 23-year-old Swasti is pursuing her graduation in psychology at KIIT University, Bhubaneswar.

Odisha achieved another success at the 2nd HCL Cyclothon as Dinesh Kumar, also from Rourkela, won the second runner-up prize of Rs 80,000 in men 55 km professional race.
