  Women U-23 T20 Trophy: Odisha prevail over Baroda

Notable performances by allrounder Tanmayee Behera and Ananya Mishra helped Odisha beat Baroda by 27 runs in their fourth Elite Group-B match of the BCCI Women U-23 T20 Trophy Cricket Tournament at St Xaviers KCA Cricket Ground in Trivandrum today.

Put into bat, Odisha made a modest total of 94 for nine with Trisha scalping four wickets for Baroda, including a hat-trick. In reply, Baroda were dismissed for 67. Tanmayee Behera hit a 53-ball 40 and took one wicket for 11 runs. Ananya bagged four wickets for six runs. This was the third win for Odisha, who moved up to the second spot in the group table with 12 points in their kitty.

Earlier Odisha beat Sikkim by 85 runs and Uttarakhand by three runs, but lost to Haryana by seven wickets. Odisha will play their fifth and last league match against Mumbai at KCA Cricket Ground, Mangalapuram, Trivandrum on December 1.
