Odisha bagged the second medal in the ongoing 30th National Road Cycling Championship with a bronze in Youth Girls 20 km team time trial at Sambalpur, Odisha today. Odisha team, featuring Sasmita Panda, Purbayee Mohanty and Sneha Das claimed the bronze medal with time of 34 minutes and 39.178 seconds.
According to host Odisha Cycling Association president and cycling Arjuna Awardee Minati Mohapatra, Sasmita played instrumental role in giving Odisha the youth girls TTT bronze medal after a long gap. Sasmita was well supported by Purbayee and Sneha. For all three Odisha girls, the bronze was their maiden National medal.
