Sarthak Arya, the rising star of Odisha table tennis, added yet another jewel to his crown by winning the U-17 youth boys singles title at the 5th UTT National Ranking Table Tennis Championships at Harivansh Tana Bhagat Indoor Stadium in Ranchi, Jharkhand today.

Displaying grit and finesse, the Odisha paddler beat West Bengal opponent Rupam Sardar in the final 3-1 (11-6, 11-7, 4-11, 14-12). Earlier in the semifinals, Sarthak defeated Atharva Nawarange (Karnataka) 3-1 (11-5, 6-11, 11-6, 14-12).

This was the third successive U-17 National ranking singles title of the year for Sarthak, who completed a glorious hat-trick. The Odisha youth won his previous two titles last month in Indore (MP) and Panchkula (Haryana).

With the title triumph today Sarthak, who belongs to Jagatsinghpur district and trains at Rainbow-Khelo India Residential Academy in Himachal Pradesh, further consolidated his position at the top of the National rankings in U-17 youth boys singles category.
