Odisha swimming star Pratyasa Ray bagged her fourth gold and third silver to boost her total number of medals to seven on the fourth day of the All India Inter-University Aquatics Championship at Dr TR Paarivendhar Aquatic Complex in Chennai, Tamil Nadu today.
Representing Chandigarh University, where she joined recently to pursue her Masters in Psychology, Pratyasa won her fourth gold in womens 100m backstroke with a time of 1:06.12. She secured her third silver in the 4x100m mixed medley relay with a total time of 4:12.17.
Earlier, Bhubaneswar swimmer Pratya captured one gold each in 200m backstroke, 4x100m freestyle relay, 4x100m medley relay and one silver each in 50m backstroke and 4x200m freestyle relay.
Odisha universities claimed another medal today with Nilabjaa Ghosh winning the bronze for KIIT Deemed to be University in womens 50m freestyle with a time of 27.70 seconds. Alaqua Agnelo Brito of Goa University also secured the bronze medal in the same event, clocking an identical time.
The All India Inter-University Aquatics Championship for both men and women is being organised by SRM University, under the auspices of Association of Indian Universities from 18 to 23 December 2025. Around 115 universities from across the country are participating in this championship.
