Mamita Oram, Sunita Naik and Sabitri Patra were the other three archers of the Odisha girls team, which earlier defeated Tamil Nadu 6-0, Madhya Pradesh 6-0, but lost to Rajasthan 4-5 in the semifinals. Rajasthan bagged the gold, while the silver went to Haryana.
A 22-member squad is representing Odisha in the current championship, which is set to conclude on December 30. Over 500 archers from 30 states are participating in this championship, which was inaugurated by Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai.
Odisha Archery Association president Gokul Chandra Pati and secretary Sampurnananda Das congratulated the medal winners of the State.
