  Vijay Hazare Trophy: Odisha dump Delhi; Jump to the top

Odisha rode on a half-century by captain Biplab Samantray and a three-wicket haul each by Debabrata Pradhan and Sambit Baral to stun formidable Delhi by 79 runs in their fourth Elite Group-D match of the Vijay Hazare Trophy Senior Men One-Day Tournament at Alur Cricket Stadium in Bengaluru today.

Samantray slammed a 74-ball 72 as Odisha compiled a healthy total of 272 for eight after losing the toss. In reply, the star-studded Delhi, led by Rishabh Pant folded up for 193. Samantray bagged the player of the match award for his impressive knock.

This was the third successive win for Odisha who jumped to the top of the the group table with 12 points from four matches.They will next meet Haryana at Alur Cricket Stadium in Bengaluru on January 3.
