  U-16 Inter-District Cricket: Midhansu hits ton in Bbsr-A win

Midhansu Das scored a century to power Bhubaneswar-A to a 175-run win against Nuapada in their preliminary league match of the OCA U-16 Boys Inter-District Cricket Tournament at Nimpur Ground in Cuttack today. Puri, Cuttack-B, Khordha, Rourkela and Sambalpur-B registered wins in five other matches of the day.

Among other notable performers of the day, Dibyadarshan Paikaray (Puri), Somyajeet Das (Cuttack-B) and Slok S Nayak (Bhubaneswar-A) claimed five wickets each, while Ankit Mohanty, Nishith Pattanaik (both Puri), James Lima (Gajapati), Subham Sharma (Cuttack-B) and Supratik Mishra (Deogarh) scored a half-century apiece.

RESULTS (7 April 2026):

Match 25 (DRIEMS Ground, Tangi): Puri 209/8 in 47 overs (Ankit Mohanty 70, Nishith Pattanaik 60; Suman Baliarsingh 2/26) beat Gajapati 127/9 in 38.2 overs (James Lima 50; Dibyadarshan Paikaray 5/23) by 82 runs. PoM: Dibyadarshan Paikaray.
 

Match 26 (BJB High School Ground, Khordha): Cuttack-B 185/10 in 44.1 overs (Subham Sharma 59; Harivansh Bhuyan 3/21, Shreejeet Bhuyan 3/33) beat KIIT 125/10 in 28.5 overs (Asis A Panda 46, Shreejeet Bhuyan 29; Somyajeet Das 5/31) by 60 runs. PoM: Somyajeet Das.

Match 27 (Adashpur Ground, Adaspur): Dhenkanal 95/10 in 44.3 overs (Prithviraj Gouda 30; Subhranshu K Bhoi 3/15, Saransh Tiwari 3/13, Omm P Sahoo 3/20) lost to Khordha 99/2 in 24 overs (Debansu Jena 41*) by 8 wickets. PoM: Saransh Tiwari.

Match 28 (Nimpur Ground, Cuttack): Bhubaneswar-A 264/6 in 49 overs (Midhansu Das 113; Kapil Agrawal 2/26) beat Nuapada 89 /10 in 30 overs (Slok S Nayak 5/22) by 175 runs. PoM: Midhansu Das.

Match 29 (Railway Stadium, Bhubaneswar): Rourkela 111/9 in 30 overs (SK Rehan Ali 26; Trilochan Bindhani 4/25) beat Khandamal 82/10 in 29.1 overs (Sidhisanklap Khatua 24; Somyajeet Bhuyan 3/14, Alok K Pandit 3/8) by 29 runs. PoM: Somyajeet Bhuyan.
