  U-16 Inter-District Cricket: Nachika haul in vain as Koraput lose

A seven-wicket haul by Sangram Nachika went in vain as Koraput lost to Jajpur by 132 runs in their preliminary league match of the OCA U-16 Boys Inter-District Cricket Tournament at Railway Stadium, Bhubaneswar today. Sundargarh, Balasore, Ganjam, Cuttack-A and Nabarangpur registered wins in five other matches of the day.

Among other outstanding performers of the day, Preetish Mishra scored a superb century for Cuttack-A, while Tanmay K Padhi and Anshuman Patanaik bagged five wickets each for Balasore and Cuttack-A respectively.

RESULTS (15 April 2026):

Match 55 (DRIEMS Stadium, Tangi): Angul 124/10 in 46.5 overs (Ayushman Pradhan 39; Anmol Bhalla 4/14) lost to Sundargarh 127/1 in 14.1 overs (Ayush K Das 59, Ayan K Bara 52*) by 9 wickets. PoM: Anmol Bhalla.
 

Match 56 (Ravenshaw Ground, Cuttack): Balasore 92/10 in 22.2 overs (Tanmay K Padhi 22; Reshab Sharma 4/18) beat Sambalpur-A 45/10 in 17.5 overs (Tanmay K Padhi 5/8) by 47 runs. PoM: Tanmay K Padhi.

Match 57 (Ravenshaw Ground, Cuttack): Ganjam 315/10 in 48.4 overs (Satyam Lenka 98, Anikesh Narayan 66, Sai Bighnesh Behera 56; Tajroshan Parida 4/46, Aditya Das 4/62) beat Mayurbhanj 103/10 in 37.1 overs (Gambhir Pingua 36; Allu Prashant 4/21) by 212 runs. PoM: Allu Prashant.

Match 58 (Nimpur Ground, Cuttack): Cuttack-A 363/4 in 50 overs (Preetish Mishra 145, Priyanshu P Sasmal 80, Bhabatosh Barik 62; Om Prakash Rout 3/54) beat Malkangiri 113/10 in 33.2 overs (Sahil Sethy 39; Anshuman Patanaik 5/21) by 250 runs. PoM: Preetish Mishra.

Match 59 (Railway Stadium, Bhubaneswar): Jajpur 258/10 in 47.3 overs (Ehan Khan 68; Sangram Nachika 7/52) beat Koraput 126/10 in 44 overs (Arjun Rout 50; Jashobanta Nayak 4/20) by 132 runs. PoM: Jashobanta Nayak.
