  U-16 Inter-District Cricket: Rituraj bowls Nayagarh to victory

A six-wicket haul by Rituraj Mohanty and a half-century each by Sai Narayan and Ashutosh Yadav enabled Nayagarh beat Bargarh by 145 runs in their preliminary league match of the OCA U-16 Boys Inter-District Cricket Tournament at Sunshine Ground in Cuttack today.

Bowlers reaped rich harvest in two other matches of the day with Omm P Sethy and Ayasha Panda scalping six and five wickets for Keonjhar and Paradip respectively. Anurag Samantaray was the most successful batter of the day, hitting 94 for Bhubaneswar-B against Jharsuguda.

Match 66 (Nimpur Ground, Cuttack): Bhubaneswar-B 247/8 in 50 overs (Anurag Samantaray 94; Yogesh Roy 4/50, Wasil Khan 3/32) beat Jharsuguda 214/10 in 47.5 overs (Vansh Gandhi 48; Ayush Raut 3/35, Mrutyunjay Ray 3/57) by 33 runs. PoM: Anurag Samantaray.

Match 67 (Railway Stadium, Bhubaneswar): Kendrapara 151/10 in 37.1 overs (Biswajeet Sahoo 33; Subhasish Nayak 3/7, Sk Kalimuddin 3/34) lost to Bhadrak 152/3 in 35.3 overs (Satyaprakash Sahoo 50*, Subhasish Nayak 44; Deepak K Baral 2/31) by 7 wickets. PoM: Subhasish Nayak.

Match 68 (Sunshine Ground, Cuttack): Nayagarh 278/9 in 50 overs (Sai Narayan 69, Ashutosh Yadav 59; Adil Seikh 2/18) beat Bargarh 133/10 in 35.1 overs (Mayank Agrawal 21; Rituraj Mohanty 6/30) by 145 runs. PoM: Rituraj Mohanty.

Match 69 (DRIEMS Stadium, Tangi): Keonjhar 60/10 in 21.2 overs (Dileswar Kathar 3/5, Priyanshu S Sahu 3/14) beat Balangir 51/10 in 18 overs (Omm P Sethy 6/24) by 9 runs. PoM: Omm P Sethy.

Match 70 (Adaspur College Ground, Cuttack): Sonepur 109/10 in 28.4 overs (Anwesh R Tripaty 26; Ayasha Panda 5/9) lost to Paradip 111/3 in 24.5 overs (Mayank S Parida 50; Arav Pujahari 2/12) by 7 wickets. PoM: Ayasha Panda.

Match 71 (BJBHS Ground, Khordha): Kalahandi 258/6 in 49 overs (Abhyudit Nanda 56, Jaskaran Singh 38; Sameer K Bidika 2/30) beat Raygada 66/10 in 19.1 overs (Sachita N Hial 24; Pruthwiraj P Patra 3/0, Jaskaran Singh 2/23) by 192 runs. PoM: Jaskaran Singh.
