  U-16 Inter-District Cricket: Adarsh scalps 6 in Jharsuguda win

Jharsuguda, Kendrapara, Bhubaneswar-B, Jagatsinghpur, Balangir and Paradip registered wins in respective preliminary league match of the OCA U-16 Boys Inter-District Cricket Tournament at different grounds in Cuttack, Tangi, Khordha, Bhubaneswar and Adaspur today.

Among outstanding performers of the day, Adarsh Yadav (Jharsuguda), Bijya Singh (Bhubaneswar-B) and Sideswar Bag (Balangir) bagged five or more wickets each, while Anshuman Das (Bhubaneswar-B) and Adarsh Das (Paradip) scored a half-century apiece.

RESULTS (20 April 2026):

Match 72 (DRIEMS Stadium, Tangi): Jharsuguda 133/10 in 33 overs (Suraj Jaiswal 24; Rayansh Tuli 4/46) beat Bargarh 110/10 in 34.4 overs (Mayank Singh 20; Adarsh Yadav 6/29) by 23 runs. PoM: Adarsh Yadav.
 

Match 73 (BJBHS Ground, Khordha): Nayagarh 118/10 in 25.1 overs (Ashutosh Yadav 37; Ayush K Palai 4/38) lost to Kendrapara 122/5 in 29 overs (Govind Patnaik 41; Rituraj Mohanty 2/24) by 5 wickets. PoM: Ayush K Palai.

Match 74 (Sunshine Ground, Cuttack): Bhadrak 145/10 in 45.3 overs (Surya K Sethi 49; Bijay Singh 5/24) lost to Bhubaneswar-B 148/3 in 29.2 overs (Anshuman Das 53*; Subhasish Nayak 2/31) by 7 wickets. PoM: Bijay Singh.

Match 75 (Adaspur College Ground, Adaspur): Jagatsinghpur 219/10 in 48.1 overs (Anurag Das 42; Bhabatosh Biswal 2/35) beat Sonepur 89/10 in 33 overs (Arman Mallik 20; Kumar Avisek 3/11, Biswa P Samantaray 3/28) by 130 runs. PoM: Biswa P Samantaray.
