  U-16 Inter-District Cricket: Subhasish shines with bat & ball

Impressive all-round show by Subhasish Nayak powered Bhadrak to a four-wicket win against Jharsuguda in their preliminary league match of the OCA U-16 Boys Inter-District Cricket Tournament at Buxi Jagabandhu High School Ground in Khordha today. He bagged five wickets and hit an unbeaten 79.

Bhubaneswar-B, Kendrapara, Keonjhar, Jagatsinghpur and Sonepur posted wins in five other matches of the day. Among notable performers, Arman Mallik (Sonepur) scored an unbeaten century, while Kumar Avisek (Jagatsinghpur), Ayush K Palai (Kendrapara) and Kalingapatnam K Kumar (Sonepur) claimed five or more wickets each.

Match 79 (BJBHS Ground, Khordha): Jharsuguda 115/10 in 28.3 overs (Subhasish Nayak 5/13) lost to Bhadrak 117/6 in 20.1 overs (Subhasish Nayak 79*; Anuj Singh 5/10) by 4 wickets. PoM: Subhasish Nayak.
 

Match 80 (Nimpur Ground, Cuttack): Kendrapara 217/10 in 47.1 overs (Deepak K Baral 31; Pratik Sharma 3/41, Adil Seikh 3/40) beat Bargarh 60/10 in 19.4 overs (Ayush K Palai 5/11) by 157 runs. PoM: Ayush K Palai.

Match 81 Match 77 (Railway Stadium, Bhubaneswar): Bhubaneswar-B 241/7 in 50 overs (Anurag Samantaray 91, Aditya R Mishra 70; Ashutosh Yadav 4/30) beat Nayagarh 151/10 in 39.4 overs (Rituraj Mohanty 52; Ayush Raut 3/28, Md Shahzaib Alam 2/10) by 90 runs. PoM: Anurag Samantaray.
