*     Secured his first IM norm by finishing third in the 13th Kesarovski - Stanchev Memorial International Chess Tournament, held at Sunny Beach in Bulgaria from Sept 6 to 14, 2014.
*     Secured one team gold (Classical) in u-14 open category of the Asian Youth Chess Championship, which was held at Hikkaduwa in Sri Lanka from June 25 to July 1, 2012.
*     Bagged a bronze medal in the under-13 boys` category of the 7th Asian School Chess Championships at New Delhi on Dec 22, 2011. 
*     Finished 15th in under-12 open category of the World Youth Chess Championship at Halkidiki in Greece on October 30, 2010.
*     Won a gold medal in U-12 boys category of the Parsvanath Commonwealth Chess Championship at New Delhi on May 18, 2010.
*     Bagged bronze medal in under-10 boys category of the Asian Youth Championship held at Teheran, Iran from July 15 to 22, 2008.

OTHER IMPORTANT DATA:
*     On June 18, 2014, Government Odisha sanctioned in his favour a monetary incentive of Rs 65,000, which included Rs 15,000 for participation in the Asian Youth Chess Championship at New Delhi in August 2009 and Rs 50,000 for participation in the 50th World Junior Chess Championship at Chennai in August 2011.
*     Learned the game by playing against sisters from a toy chess set that came free with a health drink packet.
*     His talent drew attention when he scored six points from seven rounds in the Telegraph Orissa School Chess Tournament, his first ever formal competition, at Bhubaneswar in 2004.
*     The talent in Sidhant is said to have been spotted by Arati Bijay Mohaty, the then president of Orissa State Chess Association.
