EARLY DAYS: Basically a cricketer, Subrat took to cue sports out of curiosity in 2001. The sport fascinated him because it helped improve mental discipline and concentration.

HIGHEST CAREER ACHIEVEMENT: Ranked among top 32 of the country in senior snooker.
FUTURE GOALS: To becoming world champion is his ultimate goal. His immediate goal is to secure a place among top eight in the National senior circuit in order to be eligible to compete in the qualifying events of the Asian and World championships.
AWARDS/HONOURS: Received the Cueist of the Year Award from Billiards and Snooker Association of Orissa in 2007 at Bhubaneswar Club, Bhubaneswar.

YEAR 2002: Senior billiards runner-up in the 8th State championship at Falcon House, Bhubaneswar.
YEAR 2003: Bagged a double by winning both the junior billiards and snooker titles in the 9th State championship at Bhubaneswar Club, Bhubaneswar. He also finished runner-up in senior billiards and snooker in the same championship.
YEAR 2004: Senior snooker runner-up in the 10th State championship at Bhubaneswar Club.
YEAR 2005: Senior billiards runner-up in the 11th State championship at Bhubaneswar Club

*    Senior billiards runner-up in the 12th State championship at Cuttack Club, Cuttack.
*    Champion in the All-Orissa Open Snooker Tournament, conducted by Mahavir Institute of Engineering and Technology at Q-Ball Billiards and Snooker Centre, Bhubaneswar.
*    Champion in the 4th Pradeep Sen Memorial All-Orissa Open Snooker Tournament at Cuttack Club, Cuttack.
YEAR 2007:
*    Senior snooker champion in the 13th State championship at Bhubaneswar Club.
*    Champion in the Twin City Snooker Challenger Trophy Tournament, organized by MIET at Q-Ball Billiards Snooker Centre, Bhubaneswar.
*    Champion in the All-Orissa Open Snooker Tournament, organized by X-Cues Billiards & Snooker Centre, Cuttack.
YEAR 2008: Senior billiards runner-up in the 14th State championship at Bhubaneswar Club.
YEAR 2009:
*    Finished runner-up in the 1st CSA Open All-Orissa Snooker Tournament in Bhubaneswar on April 29.
*    Retained the title in the 5th Pradeep Sen Memorial All-Orissa Open Snooker Tournament at Cuttack Club, Cuttack on May 17. The win fetched him the top prize of Rs 21,000.
*    Won the senior billiards title, defeating Ahsan-ul Haque 3-0 in the final of the 15th State Championship at Cuesport Academy in Bhubaneswar on August 2, 2009.
YEAR 2010:
*    Bagged a double by winning the senior snooker title and retaining the senior billiards title in the 16th State championship in Bhubaneswar on July 12, 2010.
YEAR 2011:
*     Retained both the senior billiards and snooker titles in the 17th State Cuesports Championship at Cue Sport Academy in Bhubaneswar on June 26, 2011. This was his third senior billiards title in a wow and third senior snooker title in five years.
*    Won the State senior billiards title for the fourth time at Cue Sport Academy in Bhubaneswar on December 6, 2011.
*     Finished runner-up in the Freggs Cup 1st All-Odisha Open Snooker Tournament at Cue Club, Bhubaneswar on Dec 25, 2011.
YEAR 2012:

*     Finished runner-up in the senior category of the Cue Club Open Snooker Tournament at Bhubaneswar on July 15.
*     Won the senior billiards title for the fifth time in a row and finished runner-up in the 19th State Billiards & Snooker Championship, which concluded at Cuttack Club in Cuttack on Nov 25, 2012.
YEAR 2013:
*     Finished runner-up in senior billiards category of the 20th State Billiards & Snooker Championship, held at at Cue Sport Academy in Bhubaneswar from Nov 22 to Dec 1, 2013.
YEAR 2014:
*     Regained the state senior billiards title after gap of one year, defeating Rakesh Roshan Pradhan in the final of the 21st edition of the state senior cuesports championship at Cuttack Club on Oct 26, 2014. Also finished senior snooker runner-up after losing to Jeet Kishore Das in the final on November 3, 2014.
YEAR 2015:
*     Pocketed the title in the 1st All-Odisha Open Snooker Tournament, which concluded at Golden King Snooker Centre in Cuttack on Nov 17, 2015.
*     Finished runner-up in the 22nd State Senior Billiards Championship at Vintage Club, Bhubaneswar on Nov 30,
2015.
YEAR 2016:
*     Finished senior billiards runner-up in the 23rd State Billiards & Snooker Championship, held at Vintage Club in Bhubaneswar from Nov 16 to 22, 2016.
YEAR 2017:
*     Won the title and a cash prize of Rs 25,000 in the 7th MIET All-Odisha Open Snooker Tournament, held at Vintage Club, Bhubaneswar from Oct 29 to Nov 7, 2017.
*     Won the senior billiards title in the 24th Odisha State Billiards & Snooker Championship, held at Cuttack Club, Cuttack from Oct 11 to 22, 2017.
*     Finished runner-up in the in the 1st Golden King All Odisha Open 6-Red Snooker Tournament at Golden King Snooker Parlour in Cuttack on Sept 24, 2017.
YEAR 2018:
*     Finished runner-up in the 4th Golden King All-Odisha Open Snooker Tournament, held at Golden King Snooker Club, Cuttack from Oct 23-28, 2018.
*     Retained the senior billiards title and finished senior snooker runner-up in the 25th Odisha State Billiards & Snooker Championship, held at Cuttack Club, Cuttack from Nov 2-16, 2018. This was his eighth state senior billiards title in total.
YEAR 2019:
*     Finished senior billiards runner-up at the 26th State Billiards & Snooker Championship at Cuttack Club, Cuttack on 21 Nov, 2019.

NATIONAL:
*     Achieved a hat-trick by winning the billiards, 10-red and 6-red snooker titles in the Steve Davis Cup Open Billiards & Snooker Tournament, held at My 147 Cue Sports Academy in Ranchi, Jharkhand from August 4-9, 2018.
*     Became the first cueists from Odisha to enter the main draw of the 4th Indian National 6-Red Snooker Championship at Lucknow on Sept 21, 2013.
*     Reached pre-quarterfinals before losing to world champion Pankaj Advanin in the 78th Senior National Snooker Championship at Chennai on August 8, 2011.
*    Representing Orissa in National Billiards and Snooker Championship regularly since 2002.
*    Reached quarterfinals in junior snooker and junior billiards in 2003.
*    Won the billiards title thrice (2004, 2005 and 2008) and snooker title once (2006) in the SAI-BSFI Open Ranking Tournament at SAI Coaching Complex, Salt Lake, Kolkata. He also finished runner-up twice in billiards (2003 and 2006) and thrice in snooker (2006, 2004 and 2006).

OTHER IMPORTANT DATA:
*     On 9 March 2024, Billiards & Snooker Association of Odisha president Tara Ranjan Patnaik felicitated him with a cash award of Rs 1 lakh at Bhubaneswar Club, Bhubaneswar.
*     Elected as an Managing Committee member of Cuttack Club on 24 September 2023.
*     He was signed in by multi-project company Adarsh Groupas their brand ambassador on July 23, 2011. The company provided him an assistance of Rs 70,000 and promised to give Rs 20,000 per month for one year.
