*    Won a silver medal in the u-18 boys category of the Parsvanath Commonwealth Chess Championship at New Delhi on May 18, 2010.

*     Won the individual gold and team silver in the World Youth (U-16) Chess Olympiad at Akhisar Manisha in Turkey from Sept 24 to Oct 3, 2009.
*    Bagged the gold medal in the World Youth (u-16) Championship held at Vung Tan in Vietnam from October 19 to 31, 2008.
*    Finished third in the under-18 boys category of the Asian Youth Championship at Teheran, Iran, from July 15 to 22, 2008.

*     He was conferred with the Biju Patnaik Sportsperson of the Year Award for 2013 by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik in Bhubaneswar on August 29, 2014. The award carried a cheque of Rs 2 lakh.
*     Received the Sportslogon Sportsperson of the Year Award and Rs 25,000 in Bhubaneswar on July 14, 2014.

*     Secured his third and final Grandmaster norm in the A category of the Czech Open Grandmaster Tournament at Pardubice in Czech Republic on July 27, 2013.
*     Secured his second Grandmaster norm in the 15th Dubai Open Chess Championship at Dubai on April 15, 2013.
*     Secured the fourth IM norm in the 14th Balaguer Open in spain on july 22, 2009.
*     Claimed his first GM norm in the World Junior Championship at Athens in August, 2012.
*     Secured third IM norm at the 11th Dubai Open in Dubai on May 5, 2009.
*     Obtained his first International Master norm in the 6th Parsvanath International Open tournament at New Delhi from Jan 12 to 20, 2008.
