STATE:
*     Won 2 Silver medals (individual) in Junior Group-II of the 65th Odisha State Junior & Sub-Junior Swimming Championship, held at the Aquatic Centre, Kalinga Stadium, Bhubaneswar from 23-25 July 2025.

NATIONAL:
*     Won 3 Gold medals (50m, 100m, 200m breaststroke) on his debut with a National Record in boys Group-II category of the 42nd Sub-Junior National Aquatic Championships, held at SMS Stadium Swimming Pool in Jaipur, Rajasthan from 6-9 August 2026.
*     Bagged 1 Gold and 1 Bronze medal at the School Games Federation of India (SGFI) National Swimming Championships 2025-26 in Delhi.

OTHER IMPORTANT INFORMATION:
*     Sourav started his journey, under IIS/JSW swimming programme at the Balangir District Swimming Centre in 2022, under the guidance of first coach Naresh Pradhan.
*     In March 2025, he was recruited to the Odisha IIS/JSW Swimming High Performance Centre in Bhubaneswar.
*     His elder brother Somnath Putel is also a state swimming medalist.
