*     Cooch Behar Trophy is the National four-day cricket tournament for U-19 male players of India.
*     The annual tournament was first held in the season 1945-46.
*     The trophy was donated by and named after the family of the Maharaja of Cooch Behar.
*     From 1945-46 to 1986-87 the Cooch Behar Trophy was a schools competition.
*     It changed to an under-19 competition in 1987-88.
*     The league phase of the 2022-23 tournament will take place from 5 November to 6 December 2022.
*     The league phase will be followed by knock-out phase from 10 December 2022 to 3 January 2023.
*     A total of 36 teams would compete in the league phase after being divided into six groups of six teams each.
*     Each team would play five league matches in respective group.
*     Group toppers will be ranked from 1-6 and teams ranked 1-4 will directly qualify for quarterfinals.
*     Second-placed teams will be ranked from 7-12 and teams ranked 5-12 will play pre-quarterfinals.
*     Teams 5 vs 12, 6 vs 11, 7 vs 10 and 8 vs 9 will qualify for quarterfinals.
*     Odisha has been placed in Group C along with Haryana, Andhra, Vidarbha, Bihar and Manipur.
*     Odisha Cricket Association has named a 16-member State team for the first two matches this tournament to be played against Bihar and Manipur.
*     Saideep Mohapatra has been appointed as the captain of the Odisha team.
