DESCRIPTION:
* The Senior National Football Championships will be played in a new format that will see the 36 states fight it out across six groups for a chance to make it to the Final Round. The six group toppers, along with three best second-placed teams will qualify for the Final Rounds.
* Railways and Services will get direct entry to the Final Rounds along with the hosts.
* The six intra-group competitions will be held Delhi (Group-I), Kozhikode, Kerala (Group-II), Kokrajhar, Assam (Group-III), Kolhapur, Maharashtra (Group-IV), Bhubaneswar, Odisha (Group-V), Manipur (Group-VI).
GROUPS, VENUES, TEAMS & FIXTURES:
Group-I in Delhi (23-31 December 2022): Karnataka, Delhi, Gujarat, Uttarakhand, Tripura, Ladakh.
Group-II in Kozhikode (26 December 2022-8 January 2023): Kerala, Mizoram, Rajasthan, Bihar, Andhra Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir.
Group-III in Kokrajhar (28 December 2022-5 January 2023): Goa, Assam, Tamil Nadu, Uttar Pradesh, Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland.
Group-IV in Kolhapur (7-15 January 2023): West Bengal, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Daman and Dadra, Haryana.
Group-V in Bhubaneswar (24 December 2022-1 January 2023): Meghalaya, Odisha, Sikkim, Telangana, Pondicherry, Andaman and Nicobar.
Group-VI in Manipur (22-31 January 2023): Punjab, Manipur, Jharkhand, Chandigarh, Himachal Pradesh, Lakshadweep.
